BC Forest Discovery Centre hosts an Easter Eggstravaganza

Easter has always been one of those magical holidays for kids.A family time that is filled with fond memories and laughter. And when you say Easter, it won’t be complete without an egg hunt, right?If you have young  in your family and you live around the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island, then join the rest of the families in one of the most exciting scavenger hunt, hosted by the BC Forest Discovery Centre.

An Ultimate Adventure for the Young Ones

The Easter Scavenger Hunt will be hosted again this year by the BC Forest Discovery Centre, located in 2892 Drinkwater Road, Duncan. This annual event is available for everyone especially families in and around the Cowichan Valley area.

Vicki Holman, the Manager at the Centre shares that this celebration has been very popular and well-attended spring tradition over the past ten years.The three major reasons why kids love to join and enjoy this event are the goodie bags, train rides and as well as the Easter Bunny.

This magnificent family event comes with a special admission price of $7 for the adults and $5 for kids under 12, which is scheduled this coming April 8, 2012,Easter Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm.Until supplies last, children who will be able to finish or complete the scavenger hunt will be provided with goodie bags.It is indeed a wonderful way to commemorate the season and a great way to kickstart BC Forest Discovery Centre’s string of special events.

A Series of Events

The Easter Scavenger Hunt is just the beginning of a series of great events scheduled this year.This is also one of the many reasons why residents should invest in becoming members of the museum. The official start and hosting of the Chainsaw Exhibit with presentations and demonstrations, is slated the following weekend.And that is not all – there are also other fun and exciting activities that day as well, along with upcoming events within the 2012 season.This includes the Harvest Fest, BC Day is Kids Day, Halloween and the bi-annual Celebration of Steam.These activities are all available to you as a member of BC Forest Discovery Centre.

The BC Forest Discovery Centre is a non-profit institution and solely depends on donations, and sponsorships as well as memberships in order to carry out and promote its operations.
