Gardens of Vancouver Island

Butchart Gardens is a fabulous garden on Vancouver Island, 23 kilometers north of Victoria and 20 kilometers south of the Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal. Jennie Butchart began building this extraordinary, world-known garden over 100 years ago. With various pathways throughout the numerous flowers, this is an easy yet fun place to experience.  For admission prices click here.

Flowering trees, beds of annuals, and shrubs can all be found in the Sunken Garden.

The Mediterranean Garden has varieties of beautiful plants from all over the world.

 

 

 

 

 

 


This easily accessible water fountain is a must see while you tour through Butchart Gardens.

This area has an amazing view of only a small portion of what Butchart Gardens has to offer.

There are multiple lookouts from above the Mediterranean Garden to see the stunning Garden.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This pathway leading into the Japanese Garden is lined by an assortment of various flowers.

To cross into the Japanese Garden, this bridge leads to a portion of Butchart Gardens.
