Duncan Events – Travelling World Community Film Festival Oct. 3-4, 2014

Cowichan Valley Events

Friday, October 3 to Saturday, October 4, 2014 – Travelling World Community Film Festival – 7:30-9:30pm Fri. & 1-9:30pm Sat. at the Cowichan Valley campus of Vancouver Island University in Duncan, BC

This year promises to be an exciting annual festival, with 29 films highlighting people who are making a difference: artists, musicians, farmers, environmental stewards, and human rights activists alike.

The filmmakers are from all over the world, and several of them are award-winners. This year, we also have a program of short films created by local Island students from elementary schools in the Cowichan Valley.

Films will be shown in three classrooms (50 seats each) as well as the lecture theatre (110 seats) at VIU’s Cowichan campus, all equipped with state of the art audio/visual equipment.

There will be soup made from locally-sourced veggies from 5-7:30pm on Saturday, as well as fresh fruit, cookies, coffee, and tea available for purchase throughout the day. Please bring your own water bottle to refill for free.
