Events Nanaimo

Friday, October 17, 2014 – 22nd Annual Bite of Nanaimo – 4 to 9pm at the Beban Park Auditorium in Nanaimo, BC

This annual tradition in Nanaimo is the city’s original, largest, and only gourmet food fair known throughout Vancouver Island. Also widely known as TheatreOne’s biggest fundraiser of the year, The Bite celebrates local food and drink and features Nanaimo’s best restaurants, pubs, cafés, and bakeries.

This year’s featured restaurants include Acme Food Co., Noodlebox, Winston’s Tea Company, Brown’s Socialhouse, Mahle House, VIU’s Baking Program and Culinary Arts program, and so many more. There will be a balloon prize draw and goodies available for purchase from select vendors.

Extra cash is recommended to be brought to the event on account of food tickets required to sample the food and drink available, as well as any other purchases you may wish to make.

All funds raised go to TheatreOne in order to run their live theatre programs such as Just Kidding, Fringe Flicks, Emerging Voices, and Main Stage.

Note: all tickets for the Bite are available for purchase in advance ONLY, either from TheatreOne’s main office on 60 Wharf Street in Downtown Nanaimo, or online at the official website. Advance tickets will be held at the door on the day of the event or can be picked up from TheatreOne’s main office.
