Saturday, September 13, 2014 – World Paddle for the Planet Day – all day long at the Tin Wis Best Western Resort in Tofino, BC
To paddlers of all types and all over the world: you are invited to pick a change that you want to see. Paddle for that change, and then commit to it until the change becomes a reality!
The Tin Wis Best Western Resort in Tofino, BC will be hosting World Paddle for the Planet Day on Mackenzie Beach. Event activities will include an opening ceremony, cultural displays, informative booths, music, and art.
The paddle will officially begin at noon. Satellite paddlers around the world will be asked to start at noon in their time zones as well, so that we can send a giant “Wave of Change” around the planet!
The event has spurred development for a movie called “The Paddler” based on founder Bob Purdy’s efforts. The film is currently still in production. For more details, feel free to visit their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/thepaddlermovie
