Ladysmith Events – Christmas in the Country Dec. 6-7, 2014

Events Nanaimo

Saturday, December 6 to Sunday, December 7, 2014 – Christmas in the Country – 11am to 3pm at Yellow Point Cranberries in Ladysmith, BC – a 23-minute trip from Nanaimo, BC

Join Yellow Point Cranberries for their annual Christmas in the Country event, now in its second year.

Christmas music will be playing, Christmas trees will be on display and even for sale in some cases, and there will be a Cranberry Café serving a limited menu of soup and cranberry goodies.

For those interested in the harvesting process of this seasonal crop, staff of Yellow Point Cranberries will be giving live demonstrations out in the field and further insight in to the cleaning and sorting of the harvest.

As if that wasn’t enough, aside from the Cranberry Cottage Store selling goods made from this famous berry (open 7 days a week September to December, from 11am to 5pm daily), this event offers a complimentary tasting to visitors looking to sample one or more of each of the following recipes:

  • Cranberry Tapenade
  • Cranberry Ice Cream
  • Cranberry Raspberry Soup
  • Cranberry Lemon Loaf
  • Fresh Cranberry Salsa
  • Cranberry Pesto Pizza
  • Cranberry Streusel Cake
  • Cranberry Ginger Scones
  • And many, many more

If you miss out on this weekend’s berry-filled delights, don’t fret – this event will also be taking place from Saturday, December 13 to Sunday, December 14, 2014.
