How to Reach Parksville

Parksville is just 37km (22 miles) from Nanaimo and is easily accessible by car, ferry, bus, plane, or train. From Victoria, you can take the bus and there are also several different BC ferry terminals located in Nanaimo and Swartz Bay that will bring you to Parksville.

Another option is to fly into the Nanaimo Airport and drive the scenic 20 minutes to Parksville. You can also fly into Victoria International Airport and rent a car for the 2+ hour drive to Parksville.

A third option to get to Parksville is by train, a scenic experience with stops in Shawnigan Lake, Cobbie Hill, and Duncan, to name a few.

Once you arrive in Parksville, you won’t have trouble finding things to do and see. The beaches are phenomenal and go on for as far as the eye can see, making it an incredible playground to explore the intertidal zone.
