Saturday, December 6, 2014 – 25th Annual Lighted Ship Parade – 5pm at the Ship Point on Wharf Street in Victoria, BC

Grab a seat quick on the night of this event, because this annual occasion in Victoria BC is officially in its twenty-fifth year!

Thousands of people gather to this event every year to see ships in the harbour glow brilliantly with decorate Christmas lights. At approximately 7pm, at least 25 boats will set sail and bring a beautiful scene on to the water from the darkness. Watch as they circle and parade within the Inner Harbour and up by Fisherman’s Wharf.

Come to Ship Point before the parade at 5pm; from then until 9pm it will be teeming with life in the form of music, artisans’ vendors, and over 3,000 square feet of heated tents. Three food trucks will be on site, hot apple cider with be available, prizes will be given to boats with the best decorations, and kids will receive a special visit and a candy cane from Santa.

Definitely arrive early, because in addition to the ships launching, before then there will be the Lighted Truck Parade, passing the Empress hotel and coming to the help light up the harbour with horns and lights.
