It opens with a workshop on poetry and fiction writing by renowned authors Bill Gaston, Kate Braid, and Audrey Thomas. Another part of the program to watch out for is a talk by authors whose works center on environmental issues and awareness.

Some of the other participating authors this year include Spider Robinson, John Valliant, George Bowering, Elizabeth May, Michael Christie, Arno Kopecky, Ian McAllister, and Chris Czajkowski.
