Saturday, March 21, 2015 – Festival Nanaimo: Tonight…Piaf starring Joëlle Rabu – 3pm and 7:30pm at the Port Theatre in Downtown Nanaimo, BC

Nanaimo is holding its very first annual festival called Festival Nanaimo! This new event will take place on separate days throughout March 2015 and is guaranteed to provide lots of fun for every one of every age, ranging from free family events to special occasions at the Port Theatre.

For this event, the Vancouver Island Symphony provides the full orchestra for “Tonight… Piaf” with its very special guest artist Joëlle Rabu, actor, singer, and co-writer for this premiere performance.

With music arranged by Nico Rhodes, this extensively toured show features a story about embracing life with no fear. It is an intimate, high-acclaimed musical drama that recreates the final New York concert for Edith Piaf in 1961 at the Waldorf Astoria. Rabu’s portrayal of the legendary French songstress is sure to leave you speechless.
