Comox Valley Events

Friday, April 10 to Saturday, April 18, 2015 – Courtenay Little Theatre Presents: “Quartet” – 7:30pm (2pm on April 12) at the Sid Williams Theatre in Courtenay, BC – a trip from Parksville, BC

Courtenay Little Theatre, a proud member of Theatre BC, will present another of their season’s productions called “Quartet”. Directed by Alana Gowdy and written by Ronald Harwood, the story of the Aging Stars of the Operatic Firmament focuses on their attempt to rebuild both their relationships and their musical gifts.

Cecily Robson (Contralto), Wilfred Bond (Baritone) and Reginald Paget (Tenor) receive an unexpected visit at their home for retired musicians from Jean Horton, Prima Donna and superb Soprano. She also brings with her the ripples of change and discontent. When Jean asks the rest of the group to restage their renowned Quartet from Rigoletto in celebration of Verdi’s birthday, it is unthinkable that any other performer concerned receive top billing. They were once the best and are determined to be so again, but unexpected challenges are met along the way.

Catch this charming comedy with its everlasting messages of friendship and affection live at the Sid Williams Theatre.
