Qualicum Beach is going to amp up for the 150th birthday of Canada with some very special activities! Join in the fun and come see what The Royal Canadian Legion #76, along with a committee of volunteers and the Town of Qualicum Beach, have in store!
Start off the celebrations first thing with the Grand Parade and the unveiling of the Echo Theatre Mural! Then continue your way down over to the opening ceremonies at the Legion #76 at noon, on Veteran’s Way. All along this street will be a ton of family-friendly activities such as pony rides and musical entertainment all afternoon long!
Highlights of the afternoon include a Historical Walk Through Time, which celebrates “Community Working Together” in the old Community Hall. A street dance will be held at 6:30pm that evening on Veteran’s Way, sponsored by the Town of Qualicum Beach and Quality Foods, highlighting Zachary Stephenson of Buddy Holly fame!
