Ladysmith Events-Ladysmith Show & Shine 2017

Love cars? Then Ladysmith is the place to be for this annual event! Each third Saturday of every August the streets of First Avenue are lined from top to bottom with cars and motorcycles of all makes and models, all beautiful and treasured by their owners. Partial proceeds are made during the event, which all go to funding local charity groups.

On the night before the Show & Shine commences, join Jason and Lori Kelland from the A&W for the annual Rod Run from their restaurant at the Husky Station just north of Ladysmith. Arrive in time for a spot at 4pm to see some lively entertainment complete with burgers, fries, and root beer!

During the main event on August 19, be sure to check out the Ladysmith Lions Club Concession if you’re hungry! They will be serving their famous breakfast sandwich from 8am to 11am next to the main stage on High Street. The rest of the day they will be serving hot dogs, hamburgers, drinks, and other goodies. For the adults, the local Kinsmen Club will be hosting a beer garden this year in the Dunsmuir Square parking lot (located on Kitchener Avenue and First Avenue). All proceeds from the beer garden to to projects that club members do throughout Ladysmith’s community.

Participants at this year’s Show & Shine can also be a part of the returning Poker Walk, where those who have registered can browse the shops, gather the best hand at poker, and win prizes.

There’s lots to do at this annual event this year for car enthusiasts. Don’t forget your camera!
