The Farm Table Inn is something of a hidden gem in Lake Cowichan, but their farm-to-table dining efforts make this fall event a must! Their first annual Long Table Dinner will be a beautiful gourmet dinner lovingly prepared by Chef George Gates. Each dish is prepared with only the finest locally grown foods, paired with local craft beers, wines, and spirits. The dinner will be served in the following four courses:
- Trio of the Sea
- Trio of the Garden Interlude
- Trio of the Abbatoir
- Trio of the Confectionary
Cocktails will be served at 6pm and dinner will be served at 7pm.
Only 26 tickets are available to this event, so if you want to attend please book early! You can buy them online or call the Farm Table Inn directly.
To reach the Farm Table Inn you will have to travel off Highway 18 in the Cowichan Valley. Take a left turn at Skutz Falls, which is about 15 minutes from Duncan and 10 minutes from Lake Cowichan. Look for the B & B sign, the Cowichan River Provincial Park sign, and the Farm Table Inn’s big white sign on Highway 18.
Can’t get enough of Chef George Gates’s cooking? He and his partner, Evelyn Koops, will also be serving samples at Savour Cowichan Festival’s kick-off event “Barge on In” in Mill Bay.
