Want to get some shopping done that is not only Fair Trade but also benefits people in nations around the world? This fair may be up your alley! The Parksville/Qualicum KAIROS presents their World Craft Bazaar, an opportunity for Fair Trade organizations to spread awareness and raise funds that support several worthwhile projects and groups around the globe.
There will be over 20 vendors who support fair trade and ethical practices and pursuits at this event. Many of them are from here on Vancouver Island, and some are coming in from the Mainland to come and display and sell an amazing selection of exotic products from around the globe. These will make some very intriguing gift choices or even for your personal use! There are even living gifts such as chickens, pigs, and goats for the person who has everything which can be purchased on their behalf for poorer families living in Guatemala or Uganda.
If you need a break from shopping there will be lunch prepared by the Qualicum First Nation Caterers in the lounge. Relax and ponder your next purchase in support of so many great causes.
