Christmas may be several weeks away but the Florence Filberg Centre in Courtenay will be filled with seasonal cheer. Come and join in the first major Christmas craft fair of the season for the Comox Valley. Get your Christmas shopping done early and in a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere filled with the sights, sounds, and smells of Christmas.
There will be over 60 new and returning artisans from all over Vancouver Island to bring you an exceptional selection of high-quality handmade gifts. The Faire’s organizers are thrilled to announce that there will be the return of Chef Thea of Sweet Thea from Langley, bringing with her her well-known line of European-style Christmas baking. There will be a huge range of beauty and bath products, teddy bears and toys, handcrafted jewelry, leatherwork, original artwork and paintings, photography and handmade cards, fresh honey and bee products, and so, so much more.
Want to support your local community or donate for a great cause? Two local charitable organizations will be around on the lower level of the Filberg Centre. YANA will be selling their Christmas crackers, a popular tradition in the Comox Valley, and you could win one of 50 prizes or the grand prize! For more info visit: www.yanacomoxvalley.com.
Returning to the Faire this year is the Habitat for Humanity Vancouver Island North’s Support the Lake Trail building project; purchase ‘SHE SHED’ raffle tickets for your chance to win a prize (3 chances total). Or, buy a ticket in the ‘Get Away or Stay’ raffle, with the 1st prize being 2 return tickets to anywhere WestJet flies, plus 3 staycation prizes. Both draws for these raffles will take place on December 15. For more info visit: www.HabitatNorthIsland.com.
Don’t miss out on the chance to win prizes at the Faire too! You could win one of the Daily Draw prizes; the ticket is free with your admission. Or, you could win 1 of 5 free $100 gift cards for Quality Foods.
There is free parking and wheelchair access at this event! If you get hungry, snacks are available downstairs at the concession run by the Evergreen Seniors. If you need admission or money to buy gifts, an ATM is available on site.
The Faire organizers would like to thank the Comox Valley Record and Quality Foods for their continued support as the event sponsors!
