Do you love watching shorter movies? Are you looking for something to do outside of the house? Do you live in Nanaimo? Do you want to switch up the kind of movies you’re used to watching? This internationally recognized festival in Nanaimo may be right up your alley then! Now in its 13th year of running, the 2018 Vancouver Island Short Film Festival returns. Don’t miss out on one of Nanaimo’s signature annual events!
The films selected for this year’s festival will be shown at three different screenings:
- Friday, February 2 – 7pm. The show will conclude with the filmmakers’s Q&A.
- Saturday, February 3 – 2pm.
- Saturday, February 3 – 7pm. This will be followed by the annual Awards Ceremony.
The doors will open 1 hour early so come on earlier than these showtimes to find your seat, have a beverage, and enjoy some music. Awards on the last night are given out in 7 different categories including People’s Choice!
