Visit Duncan Farmer’s Market for Local Crafts and Fresh Produce

Handcrafted products, homemade food, and fresh local produce – there is always something charming about the sight of all the local vendors lined up at the Duncan Farmer’s Market. If you are planning to visit Duncan, make sure to venture out along Ingram Street in the downtown area on a Saturday.

As you near the market, you will be greeted by a cacophony of vibrant colors, succulent smells and the sight of a bustling market area, where everyone  seems to converge into one central place. Indeed, during Saturdays, the Duncan Farmer’s Market transforms into a beehive of activity. With all the homegrown goodies and collector’s item pieces, you definitely don’t want to confine your shopping expedition to the city malls and boutiques.

Fresh and Premium Quality Local Products in One Place

In the Duncan Farmer’s Market, you will find a wide variety of local products all year round. Rain or shine, you will greeted by warm and friendly local vendors selling the freshest selection of vegetables and fruits, homemade jams and jellies, pet treats, baked goods, handcrafted items and so much mmore. Make sure to start out early, as you’ll definitely find yourself spending several hours going through the stalls.

The Farmer’s Market is typically open from around 9AM to 2PM. Spend the better half of the day sampling free treats that are sure to please. All of the local produce are organically grown by small farmers, which means, no chemical fertilizers, and no pesticides.Only fresh natural goodness.

You will also get to know the local bakers, artists, and craftsmen as they proudly display their creations.

The Farmer’s Market actually started way back in 1993 and since then, it has become a part of the Saturday attraction to both locals and visitors.In fact, you will be delighted to know that the Duncan Farmer’s Market is actually the largest on all of Vancouver Island.
