Friday, August 29 to Sunday, August 31, 2014 – 37th Annual Classic Boat Festival – Inner Harbour in Victoria, BC 

The 37th Annual Classic Boat Festival welcomes boaters and boating enthusiasts from all over the world.

Ranging from yachts to workboats, these vessels have been maintained via boat yards, communal support, intrigued onlookers and their lucky owners. Numerous dedicated organizations provide opportunities and growth in culture by annually donating their time to this event, allowing the community to happily celebrate tradition after 37 years.

As many as 130 boats come from different countries to participate. It opens on August 29 with the arrival of the Honorary Commodore. Then there’s a long list of fun and worthwhile activities happening from that day to August 31, such as live entertainment, displays, local food, and more.

The event is presented by the Canoe Cove Marina and Boatyard, and supported by Maritime Museum of BC, Port Townsend Wooden Boat Foundation, SALTS, Seattle Centre for Wooden Boats, Cowichan Bay Maritime Centre, Victoria Tall Ships Society, Silva Bay Shipyard School and the Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding.
