Saturday, November 29 to Sunday, November 30, 2014 – 2nd Annual Christmas at the Lodge – 10am to 5pm at the Filberg Heritage Park in Comox, BC – a 1-hour trip from Qualicum, BC

This is one annual event that is sure to be a blast. The Filberg Lodge in Comox seems made for the holidays, with its cozy wood cabin interior and a huge fireplace to boot.

Come all weekend long for some unique Christmas shopping ideas at the craft fair, with an amazing selection from local artisans for sale such as Y.A.N.A. Christmas crackers, beeswax candles, clothing, glassware, and so much more. If you need to put up your feet, then grab a delicious holiday goodie at the bake sale in the Filberg Lodge’s Tea House. Top your goodie off with a warm cup of hot chocolate or a handcrafted apple cider made straight from the lodge’s own apple trees.

Throughout the holiday season from November 29 until January 2, 2015, visitors can come see and walk through Lights in the Park. The Heritage Park will be decked with splendid Christmas light displays for a beautiful stroll in the park!

Kids can take part in this annual event by helping to decorate the kids Christmas tree on the Tea House’s patio, with handcrafted and nature-based decorations ready to be placed on the tree’s branches. Even Santa will drop by to help kids with the decorating! Drop by between 2 and 4pm on November 30 for this great opportunity.

As per tradition, there will be a raffle during Christmas at the Lodge where for only $5 a ticket you can win 1 of 5 amazing prizes. Get them fast – there’s only 1,000 tickets available for attendees!

All proceeds from this annual event go towards restoration and maintenance of the Lodge and park by the FHLPA, a not-for-profit charitable organization responsible for managing Filberg Park.
