Sunday, December 7, 2014 – 9th Annual Celebration of Lights – 6 to 8pm at the Archie Browning Sport Centre in Esquimalt, BC – an 11-minute trip from Victoria, BC

Come celebrate the holiday season with Esquimalt BC by attending their 9th Annual Celebration of Lights.

The event kicks off with their traditional parade at 6pm. Over the years the parade has expanded its number of lit trucks and floats, not to mention all the smiling faces of visitors attending to watch and enjoy. The parade starts on Lyall Street at Canteen Road, then proceeds down Lyall Street to Admirals, then turns east on Esquimalt Road before ending in the Archie Browning Sports Centre parking lot. Find a seat quick, because the roads are sure to fill up with people!

At the sports centre will be lots of festive, fun family activities including live music and entertainment such as the Jason Buie Band, hot food and refreshments courtesy of the Esquimalt Lions Club, visits from Santa, meeting Happy the Penguin, and more. You can also take a tour through the Christmas Tree Village, taking place at the Esquimalt Recreation Centre.

Donations are welcome to support the Food Drive for the Rainbow Kitchen, in the form of a non-perishable item.

Best of all, to attend this event is free of charge. Everyone is encouraged to come down to Esquimalt and embrace the holiday season with this evening that’s sure to be filled with fun and excitement!
