Saturday, February 21, 2015 – 10th Annual Bald Eagle Festival – 10am to 4pm at the Maritime Heritage Centre in Campbell River, BC
Come to Campbell River this month and join the Mountainaire Avian Rescue Society (MARS) for this year’s 10th annual Bald Eagle Festival. The theme for the festival this year is “the rearing period”, covering nesting to fledging which is crucial for the proliferation of each species.
There will be some excellent guest speakers, several interesting and educational displays and people available to answer any questions you may have. Bird handlers will be on site with live raptors as well as the company mascot “Phoenix”, giving raptor lovers a chance to get up close and personal to these spectacular birds.
There will a photo contest with entries that you can vote for your favourite on. Other fun stuff includes kids’ activities, face painting by the very talented Connie Schaad, and food and beverages for a nominal price.
This event is indoors so the weather won’t be an issue and there is ample parking.
Sponsors for this great annual event are BC Hydro, Photo Tech fotosource in Campbell River and 97.3 the Eagle FM.
