Wednesday, April 22 to Saturday, May 9, 2015 – Nanaimo Theatre Group Presents: “Bus Stop” – 2pm matinees or 8pm evening shows at the Bailey Studio in Nanaimo, BC
“Bus Stop” is another remarkable play being presented by the Nanaimo Theatre Group this spring, about love, friendship, and happenstance.
The play is about a bus from Kansas City that stops at a roadside diner to wait for the snowstorm to pass. The travelers onboard spend the night in this diner. One of them is Cherie, a nightclub chanteuse, who has had a lot going on in her life especially when it comes to romance; the cowboy she’s been involved is ready to swing her over his shoulder and bring her all the way to his ranch in Montana. Aside from the main romance, the owner of the diner and the bus driver develop a unique friendship. Meanwhile, a young girl, one of the café workers, experiences romance as well for her very first time.
