Tuesday, March 17 to Sunday, March 22, 2015 – TheatreOne Presents: “Welcome to Parenthood!” – matinees at 2pm or evening shows at 7:30pm at the Malaspina Theatre in Vancouver Island University, Nanaimo, BC       

Are you a parent expecting your first child, or have been a parent for a long time? Looking to find subject matter that tackles the idea of parenthood with a sense of humour? Then you will probably get a kick out of TheatreOne’s live theatre presentation called “Welcome to Parenthood!”, two solo comedy shows about this very subject.

The first show, “Mamahood”, is a one-woman comedy written and performed by Nicolle Natrass. It’s about a new mother who dares to tell of her journey to and from an alternate time and space: Planet Mamahood. The second show, “Hello Baby!”, is a one man comedy written and performed by Lucas Myers; he examines the procreative process from the male perspective and answers the most essential questions such as, “Is your life as you know it really over?”, and “Can you safely operate a fax machine/belt sander/breast pump on two hours of sleep?”
