Saturday, April 4, 2015 – 5th Annual Tartan Day – 12 to 4pm at the Centennial Square in Victoria, BC
In recognition of National Tartan Day, the Victoria Highland Games Association will be hosting their fifth annual Tartan Day celebrations. Centennial Square will be decked out completely in tartan for four hours in honour of the city’s strong Scottish heritage and culture.
There is a schedule filled to the brim with activities and things to look forward to, such as entertainment including a pipe band, highland dancers, Celtic music, athlete demonstrations, kilt makers, and tartan weavers. You can also check out the booths including one from the Highland Association where you can buy advanced tickets to this year’s 152nd Victoria Highland Games & Celtic Festival. Other festival events tickets will also be available for purchase.
Whether you’re just interested in learning about Scottish culture or have a touch of the Highlands in your ancestry, this annual event is sure to be fun for the whole family!
