One of the best ways to celebrate Earth Day is to ride a bicycle. Bicycles are the most eco-friendly mode of transport that are at the same time, good for the health.
Everyone who’s a fan of cycling is invited to this grand event called the Saanich Cycling Festival that features the “BIG Bike Ride” and a 4.9-kilometer ride along Shelbourne Street.
But this is not for adults only. There’s also a kids’ UVic route to ensure that even little riders get to enjoy the festival.
Apart from rides, there are also exciting bike demos, interactive games, bike rodeos, stage entertainment, and activities for the whole family.
