One of the most highly anticipated events in Vancouver Island is the Victoria Film Festival. Now on its 22nd year, it is the biggest and longest-running film festival in the island. This publicly attended event runs for 10 days and features more than 150 films from local and international filmmakers. These brilliant films of different genres are to be shown in six different screens around Victoria. There are also special programs that include the French Canadian Wave and Asian and World Perspectives that everyone will surely learn a lot from. This event started in 1995 as a provincially registered non-profit and federally registered charitable organization.
