Events Nanaimo

Story Behind the Artifact Artifacts are an important part of our history. They give us a glimpse of the events that transpired long before we were born. This is what this Nanaimo event happening from June to September is all about. This upcoming exhibit highlights a set of artifacts from the exclusive collection of Nanaimo Museum. The historic objects that you will find displayed in the exhibit include mundane household things to amazing finds such as First Nations stone equipment. According to the curator of the museum Aimee Greenaway, “The best artifacts have incredible stories to tell. Their stories can evoke laughter, sadness, pride and a new appreciation for our past.”
