The oldest Chinatown can be found in Victoria. In fact, it has been declared a National Historic Site. This town was founded in 1858 during the time of the Fraser River Gold Rush. A walk through this beautiful and culturally vibrant town proves to be an experience like no other. It gives you a glimpse of the historical past and the colorful heritage of China. It is where you’ll find heritage buildings and structures that still serve as home to many Chinese who have migrated to Canada. Chinatown Walks are every Saturday throughout the year, and Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays during July and August.
