Here’s a unique kind of biking event that you surely don’t want to miss if you’re in Victoria this September. Tweed Ride Victoria, which is inspired from the 2009 Tweed Run in London, starts at the Legislative Grounds, and makes a final stop at the Beacon Hill Park, where you can have tea and spend some quiet time with your fellow riders. This event is a fundraising project for the Bicycles for Humanity, a local organization which is set to send bikes to Namibia. It’s best to buy your tickets early as slots are limited to 350 attendees. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a novice or seasoned cyclist, everyone’s welcome to join as long as you’re willing to ride your bike in tweed.
