Spend your Halloween differently this year. Instead of attending a costume party, which you always do every year, why don’t you catch this unique film included in the Campbell River Film Festival. Closet Monster is about a teenager who’s also a special effects makeup artist. He struggles with his sexuality and has conflict-ridden relationship with his macho father. It’s a fantasy and drama, which is also a “coming of age” story directed by Stephen Dunn. The film includes many twists and turns that you won’t see coming. Not only are the actors prolific, the film has also been awarded as Best Canadian Feature in the Toronto Film Festival.
