Come and be a community “souper hero” at the Victoria Youth Empowerment Society’s annual Souper Bowls of Hope event. This is a tasty lunchtime occasion that’s been put together for a great cause: to raise funds in support of homeless and youth at risk on the streets of Victoria’s downtown core.
Have a bowl of soup made by Victoria’s master chefs while the talented teen group Vic High R&B Band plays their music in the background. Take the opportunity as well to bid on some fantastic prizes being offered at both the silent and live auctions taking place; you can also try to win a prize via the Capital Iron Raffle Basket Draw. And – your gift from Souper Bowls – you can pick and select a beautiful handcrafted soup bowl specially sculpted by local potters to take home!
Specially presented this year will be an Honorarium presented by sponsor CIBC Wood Gundy for Helen Hughes, the very same founder of Souper Bowls of Hope who has raised almost $1,000,000 for youth empowerment these past 18 years.
