Do you love music? Do you have a soft spot for classical music specifically? Want to get your kids interested in learning how to play a new instrument? If you answered yes to any of those questions, this event is up your alley! Join the Symphony at the Port Theatre in Nanaimo on October 21 to get a glimpse at the Symphony behind the curtain!
For kids ages 6 and up they can try one of the many instruments featured in the Orchestra at the Musical Instrument Zoo. The zoo will be open from 11am till noon. At 11:45 Conductor Pierre Simard of the VI Symphony will arrive and be available for meeting and greeting until 12:15pm! And from 12:30 to 1:30, kids and adults alike can come and see what happens behind the scenes at a Symphony rehearsal.
