Parksville Events – Annual Sand Sculpting Exhibition

When you see the world-class sand sculptures at the Quality Foods Sand Sculpting Competition and Exhibition, you will have to stop your jaws from dropping.

These mind-blowing works of art are crafted by master sand sculptors from different parts of Canada. This event, which started in 1982 with only 100 attendees, has now become a local annual tradition, drawing in over thousands of spectators. It has also been made the official qualifying event for the World Championship of Sand Sculpting, so you can expect it to be filled with action and excitement.

Sculptors are given 30 hours over four days to sculpt their masterpieces using nothing but sand and water. Admission to see the sculptures is a suggested donation of $2.50.
